About the Calcium Carbide Consortium

The Calcium Carbide Consortium was formed in 2008
for the core purpose of assisting industry to comply with
REACH. The Consortium gathers the main EU calcium
carbide manufacturers. It covers calcium carbide.

About IACC

IACC, founded in 2006, provides a legal platform in which the members can collect, review and evaluate data on calcium carbide production technologies and end uses. This information will also be used to
evaluate the impact of international policies and legislation on the industry and define common positions
and actions.
The purpose of the non-profit-making Association is to promote the safe, effective and environmentally
aware production and use of Calcium Carbide. The association also seeks to develop and share
information of a non-commercial nature arising within this business sector to each of its members.
